We are a natural resources environmental consulting firm with experience in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and North Florida. The majority of our business is wetlands related work associated with large scale master planned developments. In addition to the typical wetlands work, other types of services we provide include marina permitting, dock permitting, endangered species management plans for developments, red-cockaded woodpecker surveys and safe harbor agreements, eastern indigo snake surveys, and preparation of various GIS based natural resources inventory maps for large land owners.
We are constantly learning and adapting to the ever-changing rules and regulations enforced by all of the Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies that we interact with on a daily basis. We remain up to date with new technologies and continue to improve on cost effective solutions. Our goal is to know the regulations so we can help our clients successfully complete projects in a cost effective manner using the most practicable scientific approach.
Since the inception of Sligh Environmental Consultants, Inc., we have had the pleasure of working with some of the leading private developers in the Southeast. In addition, we work for leaders in the water and sewer utility business, municipalities, transportation departments, engineering consulting firms, aggregate mining groups, and private groups with large land holdings. We have partnered with private land owners to gain approval for use of their properties as wetland and stream mitigation banks, and currently manage mitigation banks throughout Georgia with several more mitigation banks in the final stages of the regulatory agency approval process.
